These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of this website (the “Platform”).
1. Definitions
- Platform: the website operated by the Operator.
- Auditor: a maritime auditor who creates a profile, subscribes to membership, and may be enrolled for audits.
- Shipping Company: a company registered on the Platform seeking maritime audit services.
- User: any person or entity using the Platform.
- Services: the services provided via the Platform, including profile hosting, matching, and audit enrollment facilitation.
2. Purpose of the Platform
The Platform connects maritime auditors and shipping companies for the purpose of
facilitating audit assignments.
The Operator:
- Does not perform audits,
- Does not employ auditors,
- Acts solely as an intermediary and facilitator.
3. Eligibility and Registration
Users must:
- Be at least 18 years old,
- Provide accurate and complete information,
- Maintain the accuracy of their profile.
The Operator may suspend or delete accounts providing false or misleading information.
4. Auditor Membership and Fees
Auditors must:
- Pay the published membership fee,
- Maintain up-to-date qualifications and certifications,
- Ensure all provided credentials are genuine.
Membership fees:
- Are payable in advance,
- Are non-refundable unless required by law,
- Do not guarantee audit assignments.
5. Shipping Company Registration
Shipping Companies must:
- Provide accurate company details,
- Use the Platform solely to identify and engage auditors for legitimate audit activities.
6. Matching and Enrollment for Audits
The Platform may suggest or facilitate enrollment of auditors for audits requested by
Shipping Companies.
The Operator:
- Does not guarantee selection of any Auditor,
- Does not guarantee availability of work,
- Is not a party to any contract formed between Auditor and Shipping Company.
Any audit engagement is strictly between the Auditor and the Shipping Company.
7. No Employment Relationship
Nothing on the Platform creates:
- Employment,
- Agency,
- Partnership,
- Joint venture
between the Operator and any Auditor or Shipping Company.
Auditors act as independent professionals.
8. User Responsibilities
Auditors and Shipping Companies agree to:
- Act professionally and lawfully,
- Comply with maritime regulations and industry standards,
- Communicate directly regarding audit terms, fees, scope, and liability.
9. Verification and Due Diligence Disclaimer
The Operator may perform basic checks but:
- Does not guarantee the accuracy of credentials,
- Is not responsible for verifying licenses, certifications, or experience.
Shipping Companies must perform their own due diligence.
10. Payments
The Platform only charges Auditors membership fees.
The Operator is not involved in payments between Auditors and Shipping Companies.
11. Intellectual Property
All Platform content is the property of the Operator.
Users may not copy, distribute, or reuse content without written consent.
12. Data Protection and Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for:
- Actions or omissions of Auditors or Shipping Companies,
- Quality or outcome of audits,
- Loss of business, profit, reputation, or data,
- Disputes between Users.
14. Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify the Operator against claims arising from:
- Their use of the Platform,
- Their audit activities,
- Breach of these Terms.
15. Suspension and Termination
The Operator may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Breach of these Terms,
- Fraudulent or unlawful activity,
- Reputational risk to the Platform.
16. Amendments
The Operator may amend these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia.
Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Latvia.
